Foundation Season 3 Unleashes the Third Crisis — And It’s Closer Than You Think
Apple TV+ has released a jaw-dropping new teaser clip titled “Foundation — The Third Crisis Approaches”, giving fans a taste of the chaos to come in Foundation Season 3. With just four months until civilization collapses, tensions inside the Empire have never been higher. This new footage confirms what fans have suspected: The Mule is here, and the Seldon Plan may no longer be enough to stop the fall.

Scene Breakdown: “The Third Crisis Approaches”
In the scene, we see Brother Day, Brother Dawn, and other key figures analyzing a massive holographic simulation from the Radiant. It’s a visually stunning sequence where Seldon’s psychohistorical predictions reveal a Dark Age is imminent.
“This is a moment roughly four months from now… Every time, it produces the same result. Seldon’s predicted Dark Ages.”
A mysterious man in a long robe enters, mocking the leaders:
“Look at you two. Praying to the great god of numbers. Pretending to be Seldon.”
We soon realize that what’s coming is bigger than political rivalry. The Radiant reveals:
“The model now fails entirely. Perhaps even the extinction of your species.”
This confrontation suggests that the plan is breaking, and that the enigmatic telepathic mutant known as The Mule is already influencing events.

Who Is the Mule?
Pilou Asbæk plays The Mule, the season’s central antagonist. Known from Game of Thrones, Asbæk brings a brutal and terrifying presence to the screen. His character was long foreshadowed, and now it’s confirmed: he is the man behind the chaos.
“I see him every time I close my eyes… The Mule is here. We’re out of time.”
