Frankenstein (2025) Set to Hit Netflix This November.
Frankenstein (2025) is finally coming to life, with Netflix confirming a November 2025 release for Guillermo del Toro’s long-anticipated adaptation of the classic horror tale. This reimagined version of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein will star Oscar Isaac as the infamous Dr. Victor Frankenstein and Jacob Elordi as the tragic creature he brings to life.

A New Take on the Legendary Tale
Del Toro, known for his emotionally rich visuals and gothic storytelling, isn’t aiming to make just another horror movie. Instead, Frankenstein (2025) will deliver a deep, emotionally driven story about identity, obsession, and the consequences of playing god. The film is set to combine elements of Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein while adding an “adventure” spin, as teased by del Toro in earlier interviews.
Star-Studded Cast and Strong Vision
Alongside Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi, the film features a powerhouse ensemble including Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Charles Dance, and Christoph Waltz. This will mark del Toro’s next big venture with Netflix following his Oscar-winning Pinocchio.
The music will be composed by Oscar-winner Alexandre Desplat, who promises a score that complements the film’s lyrical and emotional tone rather than traditional horror cues.
Production Journey of Frankenstein (2025)
This film has been del Toro’s dream project for over two decades. After years of development hell, it finally began filming in Toronto in early 2024 and wrapped by September 2024. Some scenes were also shot on location in Edinburgh, adding a haunting historical backdrop to the narrative.
Why Fans Should Be Excited
With its emotional depth, gothic visuals, and an all-star cast, Frankenstein (2025) is shaping up to be more than just a monster movie. It’s a dramatic tale of creation and consequence, seen through del Toro’s signature lens.
If you’re a fan of classic literature, modern horror, or Guillermo del Toro’s beautifully haunting filmmaking style, Frankenstein (2025) is one to put on your must-watch list this fall.
