Jurassic World Rebirth Box Office Collection Stomps Into Top Spot.
Jurassic World Rebirth box office collection has officially stomped through theaters this Fourth of July weekend, raking in over $82 million domestically in just three days. Universal Pictures rolled the dino-packed blockbuster out wide on July 2, with early projections expecting the film to land somewhere between $100 to $125 million across the five-day stretch.

Strong Start Despite Mixed Reviews
Despite mixed critical reception — a modest 54% on Rotten Tomatoes — the film is showing its teeth at the box office. Jurassic World Rebirth, directed by Gareth Edwards and penned by franchise veteran David Koepp, marks the seventh installment in the iconic dino saga. The cast, featuring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, seems to have ignited enough fan interest to drive solid ticket sales.
On its opening day (Wednesday), the film grossed $30.5 million, followed by $25.3 million on Thursday, and another $26.3 million on Independence Day Friday — a solid upward tick considering the holiday distractions.
Global Outlook: Jurassic World Rebirth Chasing $260 Million Worldwide
Internationally, the film is also roaring ahead. In China, Jurassic World Rebirth took the #1 spot and earned $22.3 million in its first three days, showing promising traction overseas. With a global footprint in over 80 markets and major releases across the U.S., UK, Germany, Korea, and more, the film is eyeing a global opening weekend near $260 million.
That’s a promising sign for Universal and Amblin, who are banking on Rebirth to launch a brand-new trilogy in the franchise.
Jurassic World Rebirth Box Office Collection vs. Previous Films
Compared to its predecessors, Rebirth is starting slightly lower but still holding strong:
- Jurassic World (2015): $208M opening (3-day)
- Fallen Kingdom (2018): $148M opening (3-day)
- Dominion (2022): $145M opening (3-day)
Still, with a production budget of $180 million, Rebirth doesn’t need to hit $1 billion to break even — but Universal will be watching closely to see if the legs are strong enough for sequel greenlights.
